The research involved 43 healthy adults over the age of 50, with mild hypertension problems, not subjected to drug treatment and with sedentary lifestyle habits. Participants were randomly assigned 12 weeks of swimming exercises or attention time checks. The aim of the study was to demonstrate whether regular swimming would decrease blood pressure (BP) and improve vascular function.
